Gospel singer Tope Alabi is currently under fire on social media after she condemned the Oniduro song by Yinka Alaseyori.
In a video making the rounds across the internet, Tope Alabi could be heard saying it is so wrong to refer to God as ‘Oniduro mi’ [my guarantor] and that she was instructed by the Holy Spirit to desist from singing the song.
“This is not about condemning the song; when you receive a song in the spirit, it is supposed to go through some refining with the holy ghost before producing it, else, you will just be singing rubbish,” she added in part.
Tope Alabi’s claim was however nullified by some of her fans who slammed her for being jealous of the song, with many saying their is nothing wrong in making God as one’s guarantor.
The gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori, whose song was condemned by Tope Alabi is being revered by many as a prodigy of the veteran singer as she sings exactly like Tope Alabi.
She came into prominence just few years ago and has been a hot cake performing at major concerts around the country.
